Frequently Asked Questions

How are you able to offer these trips at such a cheap price?

Hotels, travel companies, restaurants, and other establishments contract with our parent company in order to provide these incentives. They offer these incentives to get people to use their services and see what they have to offer. This builds brand loyalty.

For example, hotels rarely experience full occupancy except during conventions, major holidays and weekends, so they contract with certain travel promotion companies, like us, to give the rooms away just the taxes to get people to come and see what they have to offer. When hotels have empty rooms, they do not make any money, and it's a waste of a good room. Although they have lost the price of the room regardless, they can still let you stay for practically free in the hopes that you'll stay longer, eat in their restaurants, spend money at their in-house shops and casinos, and take advantage of their amenities (spa, room service, etc.). And when you leave, after having had a great time, they hope that you'll come back to stay with them in the future and maybe even tell a few friends. This builds brand loyalty.

It’s that simple.  EMPTY ROOMS MEAN YOU SAVE MONEY!

What is the purpose of the redemption or processing fee?

The redemption fee covers the cost of processing your reservation.  This process is necessary to let our parent company know we have a potential vacationer.  They contact the travel agency and you receive your reservation form and make your actual reservations with the designated travel agency.  This charge is not included in the purchase price of the certificate, but we have made consideration for the redemption fee in the price of each of our trips for $99 or less.  For example, if the redemption fee is $25, our certificate price will not exceed $74.

What are the hidden costs behind these certificates?

The only costs involved in the trips we offer is

1.       Cost to purchase the Certificate from Trips for $99 or Less

2.       Cost to redeem the Certificate i.e. Processing Fee or Redemption Fee

3.       Room Taxes that is paid through the travel agency when you make your reservation

4.       Certificates that involve a cruise or airfare have additional fees for airline taxes, airport fees and port charge.

Some certificates may ask for a refundable deposit – but this deposit is returned after you complete your trip.  Cost for transportation, meals, tips and other incidentals is not included.

Do the certificates have an expiration date?

Yes. There is an expiration date printed on the bottom of the form.  However, this date refers to the date the certificate must be redeemed (or processed).  After it is redeemed, you will have up to 1 year to schedule your reservation and take your trip.

Do I have to purchase airfare or attend any timeshare sales presentation to receive the vacation offers?

NO.

Can I use the certificates if I live outside of the US?

Yes, you can. It doesn't matter where you live.

Can I purchase these travel certificates as gifts?

YES.  The certificates are transferable and can be given as gifts. For security purposes, we recommend that the Redemption Process is done in the name of the traveler.
